ADAPTATIONS OF GROUND REACTION FORCES IN ABRUPT VS GRADUAL SPLIT-BELT TREADMILL WALKING
The purpose of this research is to compare motor adaptation in ground reaction forces during sudden and gradual onset split-belt treadmill walking in healthy adults. We hypothesized that in both sudden and gradual onset adaptation, propulsive and braking forces would show aftereffects, indicating predictive control of leg force during walking adaptation.
