Benefits of Blood Flow Restriction After Knee Surgery

Blood flow restriction (BFR) enhances the healing process by occluding venous blood flow and allowing arterial blood flow to pass throughout the body to increase muscular hypertrophy while doing low-intensity exercises. The focus of this research project is to determine whether individuals who have had knee surgery benefit from BFR by building stronger muscles which speeds up the recovery process.
