With the rapid increase in plastic production and lack of recycling, plastic pollution has become one of the most critical environmental issues. Using the Vensim dynamic simulation software, this project investigates the impact of a plastic production tax and the use of this potential revenue for enhancing the recycling industry’s overall efficiency.

Water Scarcity - How to Replenish a depleting Water Supply In the San Joaquin and San Francisco River Valley

Two thirds of the U.S. fruit market, one third of the U.S. vegetable market, and over 25 million people are at risk in the San Joaquin and San Francisco River Valley due to decreasing water supply. Using Vensim Dynamics Simulation Software, this project investigates regional water scarcity and looks at potential ways California can take action to help conserve their water supply.

On average, 43% of food is wasted by households in the United States. Using Vensim Dynamic Simulation Software, this project investigates the impact of a food labeling policy on the potential for decreasing food waste.
